In Cub Scouting you'll have lots of fun, adventure, and activities with your den and pack. But there's more to it than that. Being a Cub Scout means you are a member of a worldwide youth movement that stands for certain values and beliefs. Cub Scouting is more than something to do. It's all about the kid you are and the person you will become. As a Cub Scout, you do your best and you help others.
All kids currently in Kindergarten through 5th grade are eligible for Cub Scouts.
Visit us on Monday nights at 7pm during the school year. If you decide to join, you can register at a meeting.
Packs are divided into dens. Each den has scouts that are in the same grade. Dens work independently from the other dens on activities and advancement requirements. Within the den the scouts will work and play together to earn awards throughout the program. Awards are presented during pack meetings. Pack meetings are scheduled periodically as a time for all the dens to come together and share what they have been doing and celebrate the scouts’ accomplishments. All leaders are parent volunteers.
Pack 269 tries hard to keep costs at a minimum. We do not have any dues. We can fund nearly all pack activities and awards with our popcorn fundraiser in the Fall. We even provide incentives for summer camps through the popcorn sale. Scouts are encouraged to have a uniform, but we do not require a uniform. There are national registration fees of $125 annually. Everyone chips in $5 per meal on our overnights; one in the Fall and one in the Summer.
